Being a hero is more than what you see in the movies. A hero is not only their to save lives, but they are needed to inspire others to fight or hold up a good cause. A heroic person does not wait for others to make a difference, instead they are the first to act and lead others to be just like them or even better. Within the quote "Heroic times have passed away," I was able to realize how relevant this is to present-time. We no longer have hero's in this world. Instead we are all followers who are so worried about out own public profiles. No one is willing to fight for a cause because we do not want to be seen as different or out of place. Heroism will never be possible in today's world simply because we are all to selfish to help others. People will not go out of their wat to help other unless they are given the recognition that they require to do these acts of kindness. Most of the people we call "hero's" have sadly passed away to natural causes or for the ideas they believed in. These hero's were willing to defy all odds for what they believed in. Martin Luther King is one of my person hero's because he was willing to stand up in a white dominated America and he made sure that people of colour are treated fairly. His words and actions inspire me everyday to stand up for what is right and to seek out justice for anyone who had been wronged in their lifetime.
